After being turned into a cyborg, Kisaragi faces pursuit from vampires and vengeful yakuza. Human experimentation turns Kisaragi into a cyborg, he finds himself pressured by multiple organizations. In a post-apocalyptic future filled with cyborgs, dragon-men, and vampires, humanity has been relegated to living in small, self-contained city-states called "clusters." Lunalu is an ordinary girl living in the yakuza-run Shinjuku Cluster. However, rather than trying to find her place in the organized crime system, she dreams of escaping the walled city and crossing the wasteland to reach the utopian (perhaps mythical) Yokohama Cluster.
